What’s In True North?
True North is a cocktail of alkalizing fluids and electrolytes which keep you hydrated by replenishing the fluids lost from your body. These fluids also balance your pH, thus preventing the adverse effects of an acidic environment.
To this cocktail, we add B complex, which effectively combats nausea, thus providing relief and comfort to expecting moms.
In some cases, we add Zofran, an anti-nausea medication, to this IV to boost its potency. The need for Zofran is determined on a case-by-case basis. If you’re in your first trimester, you will need a prescription from your OB to receive Zofran.
