Diamond Glow is a proprietary dermabrasion device that uses a special wand and technology. The wand has multiple diamond tips that can be used to customize your treatment and match the level of exfoliation your skin needs. As the diamond-tipped wand exfoliates dead or less healthy skin, it also uses high power suctioning to deep clean your skin and pores.

What to expect during your Diamond Glow procedure

Before your treatment, we’ll lightly cleanse your face or other area to be treated, discuss your cosmetic concerns, and the conditions you’re hoping to treat. We’ll also select the SkinMedica serum that is best suited to your needs. We’ll calibrate the Diamond Glow wand for your skin type, and carefully move it over the surface or the skin to be treated, producing a very gentle “sanding” feeling. The applied suction will help remove dead and dying skin cells and prepare the skin surface for application of the serum.

You’ll feel little if any pain throughout the treatment. A slight postprocedural flush may appear, and this dissipates rapidly. If you’re unaccustomed to facial treatments or are unsure how your face will respond to the treatment, scheduling a treatment session toward the latter half of the day is probably all that’s required to give yourself a chance to recover in full. Otherwise, a lunch break is often sufficient.
